Mr. Lewis’ class at WES completed a science experiment involving thermal energy. The students observed that at a given temperature, greater amounts of water have more thermal energy than lesser amounts.

Black History Program
I sent home a final memo to parents concerning the Black History Program. It will be held at CHS on February 24th. We desperately need the parents of all participating students to have their children at the CHS auditorium by 4:45pm. This will enable us to do a quick run through the program, giving the students a chance to stand on that stage before the program starts. We have to be out of the auditorium by 7:40pm due to another scheduled event that night. Parents of participating students are required to attend the program. All parents are responsible for their children once the program ends. Thank you for your support. The students are excited!!!

Bus Discipline
I have seen an escalation in student misbehavior on our buses, especially Route 4 (12-93). I know it is inconvenient for parents when students are suspended off the bus, but we must hold students accountable for their behavior. If your child rides a bus to school, please help us promote positive behavior from the students. The Code of Conduct will be enforced in order to keep our students safe on our buses. Thank you for understanding.
Afterschool Black History Rehearsals
The rehearsals are moving along. I need to mention a few things for the parents. We have over 120 students participating. Therefore every child cannot have lead parts. Many of the students will be assigned supportive roles, which is just as important as other roles. Please keep that in mind. Also, all rehearsals end at 4:45 pm. Be here on time to get your children. Thank you for allowing your children to participate. Remember, the date for this program is February 24th from 6:00pm-7:30pm at Central High School's auditorium.
